About Me

Hello, and Welcome — I’m so glad you’re here! Seek Him With Me was born out of loss, longing, and the quiet, constant love of a God who never let go.

When I was just 16, my world was shattered by the loss of my brother. Not long after, due to being a teen mom, I was forced into marriage under religious pressure — told that if I didn’t, I’d be condemned to hell. That kind of fear can turn your heart away from God, and for a long time, it did mine.

But God never turned away from me

After my mother passed when I was 32, something stirred deep within me. I began to fast, to pray, to open myself again — this time not to religion, but to God Himself. He was trying to show me something. He had been there all along, even when I didn’t know it. Then came another heartbreak — the death of my husband at 36— but even in that loss, I felt something different: a quiet knowing. A whisper. A guiding hand.

God was gently paving the way back to His heart

I found healing in writing. Working at my church, I began writing for our monthly newsletter, which grew into weekly encouragements emailed to our congregation. Through that, I discovered something I didn’t expect: I just wanted to be fed by God’s Word — and I wanted to help feed others too.

When I lost that position during a difficult season within our church, I grieved not only the job but the connection I had with others through my writing. But something deeper remained — this calling to share hope, to tell the truth, and to point people back to God’s faithful love. That’s what led me to start this blog.

Seek Him With Me is an invitation

To the brokenhearted.

To the questioning.

To the ones who’ve been burned by religion but are still hungry for truth.

To those who need to know they’re not alone.

Here, I’ll share stories, devotionals, scripture, and reflections — from one woman who’s been through the fire, but is still seeking Him. And I’d be honored if you’d seek Him with me.

Lovingly & Faithfully,

Sally
